Melissa Devlin, M.S.W., R.S.W.

Melissa is a dynamic therapist with over fifteen years of experience as a registered Social Worker and more than five years of experience with couples therapy.

Melissa values that everybody is unique and knows how important it is to all feel heard and respected.  Melissa believes that every one of us is trying our best but that we can get ‘stuck’ in areas of life, including communication patterns, arguments, or repetitive behaviours.  By assisting you in identifying and accessing the deeper emotions and fears underneath reactive communication and behaviours, Melissa can help you better understand your needs and your partner’s needs and can facilitate restructuring the bond between you and your partner.

Melissa’s communication style is informal and non-judgmental, and she does not shy away from discussing topics that sometimes feel uncomfortable or embarrassing.  Melissa’s primary goal is to create a safe space for you to be able to discuss anything.

Whether you and your partner seek to rebuild trust and intimacy or avoid having the same argument again and again, Melissa believes it is possible to achieve these goals through honest communication, sharing, and trusting the process of therapy.
