Melissa Luongo, M.S.W., R.S.W
Melissa is a caring and compassionate therapist who believes that no one should have to suffer through the difficulties and challenges of life alone. Melissa developed a passion for helping others early in her career working with special needs children and from there her desire grew.
Melissa works with her clients to help them recognize their strengths in order to reach their goals and move forward in a positive way. She draws from her experience working with crisis and trauma to ensure that the counselling process is comfortable. While working in a collaboration with clients is important to her, she also believes in challenging clients to learn and grow. Melissa feels that solutions needs to be practical so clients can cope in everyday life. Additionally, being a firm believer that sessions work does not end in the therapy room, she provides clients with things to think of and process between sessions, so that every additional session is as effective and beneficial as possible.
